We have decided that amongst all the business travel and heavy schedules that we all need a little fun on our travels. Below we’ve compiled a list of interesting things to do in some of the best places in the world, first stop… London! Stay tuned for Christmas deals too, we’ll be slashing prices for our YR4 roaming device to take with you on your travels.

Until January 4th

Christmas Market at the Southbank centre where you can enjoy holiday festivities beneath the glittering lights right into the New Year. What to expect? Festive shows, seasonal food and drink, and family activities.

January 5th- 14th

London Short Film Festival is a showcase of UK and some international independent films taking place in cinemas and venues all over the city. What to expect? Dramas, comedies, documentaries, animations, low-budget shorts and experimental works.

February 4th

Cancer Research UK London Winter Run- a 10km run through the central closed streets of London. What to expect? A fun run full of polar bears, penguins and icebergs, oh… and runners!

February 15th- 18th

London Classic Car Show taking place at ExCeL London, a brilliant display of some of the most spectacular cars in the world! What do expect? World’s best classic car manufacturers, clubs, collectors dealers and beautiful vintage cars. 

February 18th

If you just so happen to be in London in February, you might just be lucky enough to catch the Chinese New Year celebrations- the largest outside of Asia! This spectacular event will take place around Trafalgar Square and Chinatown, and the best part is that it’s free. What do expect? Colourful parade, free performances, cultural activities and fireworks display!

April 21st

The Queen’s Birthday! This is always a great occasion especially in the nation’s capital. Strangely enough, her Majesty celebrates her official birthday in June, but her actual birthday is April 21st. What to expect? Head to Hyde Park and the Tower of London to Listen out for gun salutes being fired.

“Museums at Night” is a must, whether you’re an art history nerd or not! London museums, heritage sites and historic properties open their doors at night to let us explore. What to expect? New expos, torchlit tours and live music.

Explore rooftop gardens, city centre hideaways and insane gardens of the rich and famous in the  Open Garden Squares Weekend! What to expect? 200+ historic, traditional, new and experimental gardens are open to the public for this weekend.

Open House London is a free access to 800+ public buildings, private houses, churches, museums, schools and offices. What to expect? Join tours, walks and activities all weekend. A unique look inside some of the most iconic buildings and spaces in London.
